An event photographer
your marketing team
WILL LOVE
Corporate events, conferences, galas and launches across San Diego. I shoot for the people who have to use the photos afterward: proof the room was full, proof people enjoyed it, and sponsor deliverables that arrive while anyone still cares.
What I photograph
Corporate events are the core of the calendar: conferences and conventions, trade shows, executive dinners, product launches, holiday parties and team events. If it involves a run of show and a banner with a logo on it, I have probably shot a version of it.
The work happens at the San Diego Convention Center regularly, and in hotel ballrooms and event spaces all over the county. Traveling events are welcome too; a chunk of my clients bring me to their out-of-state shows because rebriefing a new photographer in every city gets old.
What it costs
Half day coverage is $1,100. Full day is $1,980. Multi-day conventions get a custom quote, and the full rate card is public, which still makes this site a minority in event photography. If your budget meeting needs a number, you can have one before we ever talk.
Two things move the price: simultaneous coverage (a second shooter when your keynote and your expo floor happen at once) and delivery speed (Live Delivery puts edited photos in your feed while the event is still running).
What you get, and when
Curated selects the same day, in time for a closing-session recap slide. The complete edited gallery inside 48 hours. Every image licensed for your marketing, no per-use fees.
See the corporate events gallery for what that looks like in practice, or the conference photography and trade show pages for specifics. Exhibiting or attending at the Convention Center? Check the SDCC event calendar to see what else is in town that week.
Questions, answered
- How much does an event photographer cost in San Diego?
- For corporate work, expect roughly $250 to $500 per hour from experienced shooters, usually sold in half-day and full-day blocks. My published rates are $1,100 for a half day and $1,980 for a full day.
- How much should a photographer charge for an event?
- Enough to cover the two costs clients forget: editing time (typically an hour per hour shot) and the insurance and gear that venue COI requirements make mandatory. Quotes far below market usually mean one (or more) of those is missing.
- How far in advance should we book?
- For San Diego convention season (roughly September through June), 2 to 3 months is comfortable. Short notice is worth asking about anyway; calendars have gaps.
- Do you photograph non-corporate events?
- Yes, and happily, but I'm selective and corporate events are the specialty. If you need a wedding photographer I'm not your guy. I will point you to amazing people who do that all day.
